Mellow privacy policy
Last updated: 22 October 2026
Mellow is a Chrome extension that changes how Google Docs™ looks on your screen: a dark theme and an optional two-page view.
What Mellow collects
Nothing. Mellow does not collect, store, sell or share any personal data, document content, browsing history or usage analytics. It has no servers and makes no network requests of its own.
What Mellow stores
Two settings, dark mode on or off and two-page view on or off, saved in your own Chrome profile using Chrome's built-in storage so they apply across your documents. Uninstalling Mellow removes them.
Where Mellow runs
Only on Google Docs document pages (docs.google.com/document). It changes colours and page layout on your screen; it does not read, change or send the contents of your documents.
Payments
Mellow is free. The optional supporter link opens a checkout run by Polar, which handles that payment under its own privacy policy. Mellow itself never sees payment details.
